No. Being engaged and arriving with the intention of lending a hand is the focal point of each Giving Back initiative – you don't need to be an expert, just a Good Samaritan. Do recall that everyone has a diverse wealth of knowledge obtained through their unique experiences – even if you’re not an expert, there is always knowledge you can lend.

No. Volunteering time is considered an independent set of paid hours, processed as a paid time-off request. This means that, instead of pursuing volunteer opportunities outside of work hours, you can instead use Paid Time Off for External Volunteer Activities to complete them during the workday. Volunteer hours can be used for scheduled weekend shifts. There are many volunteering opportunities that occur on weekends, and if your regularly scheduled hours happen to fall on a Saturday or Sunday, that does not bar you from using the Paid Time Off for External Volunteer Activities classification on your timesheets.
