October marks National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and ASU is co-hosting a day of community-building events on 10/2:

Threat hunting

On October 2, 2019 from 11am to 4:30pm, ASU + CrowdStrike are kicking off National Cybersecurity Awareness Month with an interactive program to help security professionals of all skill levels to hone their crafts. Please join us for Threat Hunting, designed to advance your threat hunting techniques and cultivate your organization's ability to detect and hunt.

The strategic partnership between ASU and CrowdStrike is significant as we aim to collaboratively build community for current and aspiring security professionals across the state of Arizona to continuously innovate. This event is an opportunity to connect with CISOs, SOC managers, security analysts, policy-makers, faculty and instructors, and interested students.

Nice Conference

We’re getting a jumpstart on the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Conference and Expo activities with a kick-off reception at Arizona State University on October 2, 2019 from 4:30-7pm.

Please join us for this free community-building and thought leadership event. Co-hosted by ASU, Florida International University, and New America this year, the Annual NICE Conference and Expo convenes visionaries and leaders from industry, government, academia, and non-profit organizations to address the community's cybersecurity education, training, and workforce needs. Our special October reception is an opportunity to connect ahead of the annual NICE event on November 18-20 in downtown Phoenix. The evening’s program will culminate in a panel presentation encompassing some of the top cybersecurity thinkers in the community and their takes on the biggest themes and trends -- with a reflective exploratory group activity to follow.
