May 2021 Edition
For this May 2021 edition of <The UTO Source>, we're taking a look back at the stories of April. A big part of UTO's emerging narrative in the past month centered on the intersection of culture and innovation. Commentary on current events from ASU CIO Lev Gonick, milestone publications and a reminder of the humanity displayed a year after our remote modality came into being round out this <The UTO Source> installment.
In April, the University Technology Office hosted its first-ever Responsible Innovation Workshop to outline its framework for a standard of ethics, respect and accountability being adopted across the organization.
Culture in action
Every month, a whole host of events promoting a positive culture within and beyond UTO take place, including activies that promote health and wellness, giving back and professional development. This is just a short summary of some of the work that has made UTO culture better every day, a summary that will make its way into <The UTO Source> every month.
- 17th Annual Pat's Run - The UTO Giving Back team joined the Pat's Run fundraiser to raise money for the Pat Tillman Foundation's Tillman Scholars Program.
- ASU Global Accessibility Day - The Universal Design and Access Technology Working Group at UTO hosted a virtual half-day of interactive presentations.
- April Meditation - UTO's Culture Weavers hosted weekly yoga and meditation sessions for everyone to get their Zen on!
Thank you for reading! <The UTO Source> will highlight UTO stories every month, showcasing the incredible work being done for the University and, most importantly, the people who do that work.
