Arizona State University’s Information Security and Data Analytics departments have received an award from the CSO50 Awards for their information security excellence in using Splunk in innovative ways to detect, mitigate, and contain cybersecurity threats.
The award, for Transforming Security Data Operations into Enterprise Business Intelligence, shows how ASU is a leader in the information security field. This lead is essential when it comes to protecting the data and information of ASU’s expansive community, students, faculty, and staff.
The CSO50 Awards recognizes 50 organizations across all business types that demonstrate outstanding business value and thoughtful leadership with a security project. A judging board of security experts, academics, and Chief Security Officers make nominations based on excellence in innovation and business value.
ASU will be honored at the awards ceremony in Scottsdale in February 2018. Chris Kurtz, ASU’s Splunk Architect, and Tina Thorstenson, Chief Information Security Officer for ASU will attend to accept the honor.
