Guilds Assemble!
Turning your passion into a formal group that seeks to upskill and broaden the horizons of our organization? That’s downright heroic!
In the past year, UTO 2.1 has seen a number of guilds emerge -- these makeshift teams center people around a common interest, often inclusive of both professionals and enthusiasts, either chartered or self-organized.
At Engage 2021, or shall we say Engage 2.1, UTO staff will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of guild-led workshops, designed to impart new knowledge and skills, exposing people to new kinds of superpowers.

What is a UTO Guild?
Guilds are communities of practice that are either self-organized or chartered, that center people around a common interest (it can be professional or just for fun!).
These guilds represent some of the innovative work being done at UTO to improve the services and experiences of the ASU community and community we serve.

The Communications Ambassadors Guild is about bringing stories from across UTO together. In this session, you will learn how you can connect with the UTO Creative + Communications team to get your voice heard. Learn the elements of an engaging story, identify potential stories from your own work, investigate the art of the one-pager and more. |

In this session, you will learn from the Product Ownership Center of Expertise Guild how work gets done in UTO 2.1 with an emphasis on the development of product MVPs using backlogs. During this hands-on experience, participants will join smaller teams to collaborate and work through real-world examples.

Changing the world, one responsible innovation at a time
This is your chance to learn about the Responsible Innovation (RI) framework, its role in ASU’s current transformation, as well as defining the UTO RI Charter while providing a quick focus of the work of the RI Guild. During this session, you’ll participate in hands-on analysis and deconstruction of various technology solutions, applications and products using the RI framework. Join us if you’d like to gain a clear understanding of how to change the world through Responsible Innovation. |

Wellness Walkabout Join the UTO Wellness Guild to learn all about the new Wellness Camp program and Badgr pathways systems as they relate to all things within the guild: Mindful Minutes, Giving Back, Yoga Mornings and the Work Life Balance Toolkit.
