Topic: Clothesline Project

This presentation focuses on the ASU Clothesline Project, a visual representation of the impacts that domestic and sexual violence has on survivors, their friends and family, the ASU community, and society as a whole. Over the last several years, the Clothesline Project has grown to an annual two-day display of more than 2,800 t-shirts. This semester, we are working to digitize the display so that online students may view and participate. I describe what the Clothesline Project is, discuss the processes by which we are reaching out to online students, and analyze the benefits and potential pitfalls of online domestic and sexual violence education and prevention.
