Here’s how you can connect with UTO at the ASU+GSV Summit

The ASU+GSV Summit is underway today and UTO is proud to be a part of the conversation. Described as an annual convening of leading minds focused on transforming society and business through learning and work, the Summit’s hybrid in-person and virtual event is taking place from August 9-11, 2021 in San Diego, CA.

UTO speakers join the likes of writer, producer and actor Mindy Kaling, NBA champion Jeremy Lin and investigative reporter Ronan Farrow in sharing their insights, among many others.

ASU President Michael Crow opened the event this morning with Dreamscape Immersive Co-Founder and CEO Walter Parkes. Parkes, former head of DreamWorks Studios, collaborated with director Steven Spielberg to create Dreamscape’s “Alien Zoo.” Crow and Parkes discussed how biology students at ASU will be transformed into fully engaged explorer-scientists using the Alien Zoo framework and the immersive educational opportunities afforded by virtual reality. UTO’s Heather Haseley and Dan Munnerley, co-executive directors of ASU’s Learning Futures Collaboratory, are on-site to support the Dreamscape experience.
