Salute to Service through service celebrates the heroes of our country and communities

The University Technology Office is made up of exceptional team members who embody the best of UTO in their everyday work and lives. And with Veterans Day approaching, we wanted to take a moment to recognize our military UTO family members for their service to our country. Join us in celebrating all those from UTO who serve and have served in the military:

From November 5-19, 2020, ASU’s Salute to Service is hosting a variety of events, including virtual performances, panel discussions and activities. This year’s theme, Salute to Service through service, extends our gratitude to all those who serve, whether on the front lines of combat or the front lines of improving their communities.

The UTO family was honored to recognize one of our very own, Brett Woods, at the virtual Gin Blossoms concert, Salute to Service’s marquee event presented by MidFirst Bank. Earlier this year, Woods was deployed as a front line worker with the Arizona National Guard to support distributing essential supplies at food pantries and testing centers in response to COVID-19. Woods’ colleagues and UTO leadership, including CIO Lev Gonick and COO Jess Evans, joined in to celebrate and recognize Wood’s contributions to the community:

Many thanks to all UTO family members who serve in the military, public service and health care. We salute you!
