Active Learning at ASU

What is Active Learning?

In brief, the term “active learning” refers to anything that students do in the classroom other than passively listening to a professor’s lecture. More specifically, active learning aims to engage the students with the material by analyzing, synthesizing, evaluating, and reflecting on information through classroom activities. Although active learning often incorporates technology into the classroom, it more importantly incorporates activities that encourage students to interact with the content and each other.

Arizona State University provides spaces that support active learning. You may explore these spaces through photos and faculty feedback by utilizing the menu on the left.
