If you suspect you are a victim of identity theft, ASU offers the FREE AllClear ID Guarantee for all current and retired employees, students, applicants and their parents.

  • You are automatically covered; no sign-up required
  • AllClear does all the work to recover your losses and restore your credit

If you believe you are a victim of fraud or identity theft, call AllClear ID customer service at 1-855-434-8077 and provide ASU's code: ASU458.

Identity Theft Prevention Tips:

  • Never use your Social Security number for identification
  • Do not give out your personal information when not legally required
  • Treat debit cards like cash. A PIN is not required to make a charge
  • Review your credit card and bank statement each month and obtain an annual credit report
  • Shred all credit card offers and hard copy bills
  • Use an identity theft protection or repair service

Online Tips:

  • Protect your computer: use a firewall, install current antivirus software and conduct regular system updates
  • Do not email personal information or post it on online
  • Use online passwords that contain numbers and symbols
  • Do not use the same password for multiple logins
  • Carefully monitor website addresses
  • Type website addresses. Do not click emailed links
