Recent updates have kept ASU up to date and supports business continuity. It benefits the whole community. For example: HR systems are updated with recent tax changes benefitting both administrative offices and all who receive paychecks. Campus Solutions was updated to provide for new Financial Aid regulations. This benefits our students as the regulations for new financial aid year support ASU's ability to award and disburse federal financial aid.
The teams have developed standard methods to repeat the update process several times a year. This reduces risk and the time needed for project management. Each time the process is getting better and builds on the lessons learned in previous updates.

Recent updates have kept ASU current with the software which supports business continuity. Peoplesoft benefits the whole community by insuring that:

  • HR systems are updated with recent tax changes benefitting both administrative offices and all who receive paychecks.
  • Campus Solutions was updated to provide for new Financial Aid regulations. This benefits our students as the regulations for new financial aid year support ASU's ability to award and disburse federal financial aid.
  • Both systems receive security patches which keeps our systems in a supported mode and avoids data breaches or disclosures.

The teamwork across units stands out as how many individuals and skill sets are needed to keep the system healthy.

These projects are generated from the business units to keep ASU in regulatory compliance. The new code delivered regularly from Oracle is one of the benefits of a purchased and supported ERP system.
This is necessary maintanence of our systems.
This is a great example of success because of the teamwork across units. This stands out as how many individuals and skill sets are needed to keep the system healthy.
