Join us on Zoom on the 3rd Wednesday of the month | 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (MST)

Timothy Summer

"Innov8: A Speaker Series" brings industry leaders to ASU to highlight innovative topics across many domains and is devoted to spreading ideas and sharing knowledge through short, powerful tech-driven talks. We welcome people from across various disciplines and seek to create a culture of like-minded collaboration. Innov8 is hosted and facilitated by ASU UTO Executive Director of Digital Trust Initiatives Timothy Summers, and each month we will assemble a community of people who have a passion for the innovative ideas brought here by the series' speakers. Join us for real-life, casual gatherings where participants get together to connect, discuss and practice activities with a shared interest. The environment is intentionally small-scale for a more intimate experience for individuals within and outside the ASU community.

Helen Patton

October 20, 2021 | 3:00 p.m. MST | Virtual

Zero Trust, which describes a security model approach to the design and implementation of IT systems, means many things to many vendors. The question should be, "What does it mean to you?"

In this session, Cisco’s Advisory CISO Helen Patton will evaluate zero trust principles in light of an existing security portfolio and will share actionable items to help you move the needle on delivering a zero-trust vision for your organization. Then, Patton and host Timothy Summers will dive into their cybersecurity career pathways and explore how the future of work will utilize systems of zero trust to ensure digital trust.
