Passion, determination, purpose, hard work -- these are just some of the ingredients of ASU’s deliciously creative success.

From November 15-17, 2021 we’ll gather together at the 2021 ASU Data Conference to explore our theme, Recipes for Success, by swapping recipes and sharing the ingredients that help create our secret sauce! 

During the three-day, virtual event, members of the ASU IT Community will have the chance to knowledge-share, problem solve and network with fellow Sun Devils through a series of small-bite and main-entree presentations and training. Then we will, wrap up day three with Sliced! and in-person experience.

Sliced is a live event where contestants will analyze and visualize data on the spot in front of the ASU Data Conference audience. Contestants will be judged on areas such as accuracy, design, and cohesive storytelling, with the winning team taking home the coveted title of Sliced Champion 2021!

Enrollment Tracking: A Brief Overview

Open to all chefs at all experience levels, this session will help you track, report and compare daily student enrollment totals. Together, we'll discuss and review the reports found on the Analytics Enrollment and Records Enrollment Tracking page. You'll leave knowing the difference between the comparison and current reports, the parameters available on these reports and the difference between these reports and census reports.

The Secret Sauce: How to Use Alteryx to Explore & Validate Undergraduate Advising Data 

If you're interested in exploring and learning about unfamiliar data in the ASU data warehouse, get the (kitchen) tools you need to apply when using Alteryx! This session includes a brief introduction on how common table expressions (CTEs) can be used to replace certain subqueries, making SQL recipes more readable and easier for others to follow.
