The UTO Analytics team recently hosted and put on the 2nd Annual ASU Data Conference, a daylong event open to faculty and staff across the university dedicated to celebrating and exploring data achievements here at ASU. Over 400 attendees, 60 presenters, and 50 sessions covered a wide range of topics and ways data can be leveraged to deliver on ASU’s core missions.
Recently, ASU's Graduate College was announced as a PeopleSoft Innovator at the Oracle OpenWorld conference in San Francisco. The group's development of a new Interactive Plan of Study (iPOS) was the subject of the recognition, a development that UTO has assisted for about a year and a half.
On Thursday, ASU hosted the Smart Region Summit, a collaboration with partners including Amazon Web Services, Arizona Institute for Digital Progress, Deloitte, and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. This meeting of the minds, held on ASU’s downtown campus, was focused on one central concept: the development of smart cities that leverage new technology to improve daily life.
