Arizona State University exemplifies a new prototype for the American public research university. To create new innovations within the university community it is essential to understand how to effectively innovate and execute on new prototypes. Whether you fill the role of a project manager, coordinator, contributor, or stakeholder it is imperative to improve our abilities to execute.
If you are looking for a way to improve your ability to execute, we have the workshop for you! The PPMO will be hosting a Project Management workshop Nov. 14, aimed at helping individuals apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to help make projects successful. The PPMO is happy to announce as a PMI Registered Education Provider, we are able to provide participants with 15 PDUs (professional development units). Attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the workshop.
Upon completion of this workshop participants will be able to:
Determine which projects to select
Identify essential team members
Utilize a project team structure that enhances sponsorship engagement
Create a project business objective statement
Evaluate and communicate project constraints
Define project deliverables
Create a work breakdown structure or Kanban boards
Construct project work estimates
Determine project resourcing plans
Manage changes, risks or issues
Effectively manage performance and quality while executing work
Identify necessary outputs for a successful project closure
This is a fun way to collaborate with your peers and learn about project management. If you would like to attend, please reserve your spot no later than Nov. 7. As a reminder, seating is limited to 60 so please send this to anyone you think would be interested.
