Summer Software Requests

It is the time of year where UTO begins planning for Summer classes. Since many classrooms change from Spring to Summer your new classroom may not have the software installed you are currently using to teach. It is best to request all the software you need to teach your courses in advance, so we can ensure you have what you need on the first day of classes.

Software requests are due by Friday, May 5, 2017 at 5PM. Any requests received after this time may not be ready on the first day of classes. As always we will do our best to get software installed as quickly as possible. You may request software by sending an email to uccsoftware@asu.edu

Please enter Summer 2017 Software Request in the subject line and include:

* Campus name(s)

* Name and Version of the software you need installed

* Installed on Mac or Windows OS

* Designate which classroom(s) you will need it installed in

Please let UTO know if you have any software related questions at all by emailing uccsoftware@asu.edu. Best wishes for the upcoming semester!

Happy to help.

Student Employees Require Two-Factor Authentication for Exams

Student employees enrolled in courses that require ASU authentication for online or computer-based exams (including finals) will need to be allowed the one-time use of their mobile devices to provide Duo authentication.

After authentication, students may turn off or store their devices to not interfere with testing. Student employees are required to authenticate to ASU web-based services (myASU, Blackboard, etc.) using Duo, just like staff and faculty.

For more information on two-factor authentication, visit Get Protected.

Technology Orientation

We are providing technology orientations for faculty and teaching assistants before the first day of class. To schedule some 1:1 time with our staff and learn how to operate the controls in classrooms, please follow the instructions on the UTO website:

https://uto.asu.edu/computing-in-classroom-training

Additionally, you can call 1-855-278-5082 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are set around the classroom schedule, so please allow for flexibility when requesting an orientation. For more training options, visit the UTO Training page here.
