In its five year technology plan, ASU asserted that the best way for it to ensure that its network keeps pace with University demand is to partner with an industry leader that provides networking at a scale far larger than the University can ever attain on its own. The networking partner will help ASU ensure its network technology continues to provide ASU’s community with the reliable connectivity it requires. ASU further planned to work with its partner to converge voice and data into a single network and continue to expand and enhance wireless connectivity to that network. Read more...

Blackboard with Leah Lommel

Leah Lommel will discuss upgrading Blackboard to 9.0.

Change Management with Shawn Bryan

Shawn Bryan will review the list of enhancements UTO is proposing be built into the Change Management Process, including:

  • The ability for users to self-subscribe to notifications
  • The ability to re-publish a change on the Change Mangement blog
  • Email notifications alerting the Change Mangement Team of Change Management blog comments
  • Enhancing Emergency change notifications to accomodate both pre- and post-implementations
  • A consolidated digest of Pre-Approved and Low Impact notifications
  • Calendar view of changes posted on System Health
